Our approach

We do not treat official statements as automatic truth. Governments, police, corporations, political parties and media organisations all make claims that should be checked against records, timelines and independent reporting.

We also do not turn suspicion into proof. Each article separates documented fact, allegation, disputed claims, official findings and editorial analysis so readers can see what the evidence supports—and what remains unresolved.

Evidence labels

• Confirmed: supported by primary records or multiple reliable sources.
• Alleged: claimed by a named person or authority but not proven.
• Disputed: credible sources conflict or important evidence remains contested.
• Analysis: The Omen Report’s interpretation of the available record.

Editorial standard

Named does not mean accused. Arrested does not mean charged. Charged does not mean convicted. We correct errors clearly, link readers to our sources, and update developing stories when the record changes.
